Hi! I’m Sarah,
I got into birth work while a student in college. I started a deep dive into women’s health and ended up in physiological birth. My eyes were opened for the first time to the wonder, mystery, and design of pregnancy and birth! It clicked for me pretty fast, and I knew I wanted to support women in having the kind of birth that they can feel confident walking into and joy looking back on.
I have always been curious, and I am a researcher at heart. That being the case, I am constantly adding to my proverbial toolbelt to be able to serve you as best as possible! I am a follower of Jesus who aims to be guided by his wisdom as it relates to all my life and specifically guiding women when it comes to birth!
As the oldest of six children, I have the best built in friends! I have gotten to witness very practically what God’s grace over family looks like. When I am not at a birth, I am often reading a book, or spending time with friends and family. I love the outdoors and getting my hands dirty with gardening and creating! I’m passionate about all things homemaking, hospitality, and health. Living in God’s design really is best!

What I believe.
I believe that childbirth is a natural, powerful, and transformative experience that most often works best with minimal interference, understanding every birth is different and will require different support. Welcoming new life into the world is an honor I will never move past! As much as I am firmly rooted in God’s design for childbirth, I recognize that in our culture there is a lot of resistance to move through if birthing naturally is the goal. Aiming for a natural childbirth takes work and support. I am here to help prepare you, and coach you through when it is time.
Pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum are beautiful seasons of life, all the hard moments included. My goal is to give you the tools to allow this special season of life to be one that you come out of more sure of who God is and the way he has made you.
I have taken my love of teaching into this space to be able to support you in making the best informed decision for you and your growing family! This will look different for everyone, and I am committed to getting to listen to Holy Spirit together as I provide evidence based support.
As your doula, I want to support you in the fullest sense - mind, body, and spirit. Pregnancy, labor, and postpartum lived in God’s design.
